I booked the Hotel before reading the reviews. When I did read the reviews I was a bit worried! I was a lone female traveller visiting my sister in hospital. The hospital is within walking distance of the Hotel, hence the booking. I was checked in by Anna, and told her of my concerns. I am happy to say they were completely unfounded. I was upgraded from a single to a double room and was placed in a room at the back of the hotel which was very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable, a little tatty, but I would expect this after paying such a reasonable rate. I would happily recommend this Hotel. Excellent staff, great location, very reasonable.
Nice staff and near pubs and bars,
Maybe the rooms could be a bit updated but we only got ready and slept in the hotel so can't really complain
Friendly and helpful staff.
Window hard to close. Had to call a member of staff to help close it.
I didn't appreciate having to move hotel rooms because I had been checked onto the wrong room, however my new room was better than my original room. The faciliites are very basic.
cheap and good location for me, comfortable bed.
It is a budget hotel so you get what you pay for, it is a little bit tired and shabby.
The staff where so friendly and helpful, we also got a voucher for their new restaurant and fell in love with their all day breakfast pizza. The rooms where very clean and spacious. we weren;t expecting much because we paid a budget price but where very pleasantly suprised.
no complaints at all
Only 1 good thing about this hotel, location
Old and shabby, beds looked well past their sell by date and very uncomfortable.paid for full english for 6.30am,arrived at gone 7am and was not worth the wait.only took this hotel as man utd playing at home and hotels were like rocking horse crap.nice hotel a few yards up the road, best western, looks a much better choice. Avoid if you can
The electric wasn't up to much, the trip kept tripping. The bathrooms wern't that clean. And I had to pay a £10 deposit and extra for breakfast. "un heard of. The location was very noisy.
I stayed in the lansdowne Hotel with my boyfriend for tw nights. We were unfamiliar as to the area and just picked this hotel. I would not recomend the hotel to any age group. i don't know how old the pictures are to advertise but the hotel has certainly deteriorated since they were taken!! the hotel is attached to a nightclub. On arrival we were told we were on the other side of the hotel and would not hear anything. which was very untrue. the walls were practically vibrating until 03:00am friday and saturday night The ceiling had yellow specs on it, bed very uncomfortable and the bathroom not even worth mentioning. the decoration is very old also. I was not impressed by any part of our stay in this hotel and would definately not recommend
The reception and the beddings
The Toilet (W.C) looked old and didn't fit well.
broken light fittings in room, lack of parking
it was close to bus stop and sainsburys
the shower was filthy, cups were smelling only one plug socket in room.milk portions were not useable due to the milk being sour in them. carpet was filthy and room needed decoreating
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I wouldnt describe this as a luxury hotle, it served the purpose for an overnight stay, offering cheap B&B and great location to the city centre and the bus routes.
It was a bit cold in the room and the curtains didnt fit the window!
The close proximity of the hotel to the areas in Manchester which I needed to access and the ease of access to public transport.
The suspicious attitude of the front-desk staff.
No marmalade/mustard at breakfast TV/kettle did not work at first Kitchen staff did not know what maramalade was Bread economay Sausages economy Will not be going again
